Can I embed PDF in Excel?

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Excel does not have a native feature to embed PDF files directly. However, you can insert a link to a PDF file in an Excel cell. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Insert a Hyperlink:

    • Select the cell where you want to insert the link.
    • Right-click on the cell and choose "Hyperlink" from the context menu.
    • In the "Insert Hyperlink" dialog box, browse to the location of your PDF file and select it.
    • Click "OK" to insert the link.
  2. Insert an Object:

    • You can also use the "Object" feature to embed a PDF file in Excel.
    • Go to the "Insert" tab on the Excel ribbon.
    • Click on "Object" in the "Text" group.
    • In the "Object" dialog box, go to the "Create from File" tab.
    • Browse to the location of your PDF file, select it, and click "Insert."

Keep in mind that while this will embed the PDF as an object, users will need a PDF reader installed on their computer to view the file directly within Excel.

Please note that Microsoft Office applications are frequently updated, and new features may have been introduced since my last update in January 2022. It's recommended to check the latest documentation or online resources for the most up-to-date information on Excel features.
